The Northwestern Naturalists’ Union is a Registered Charity – No. 1108797 – which was formed to promote an interest in natural history throughout the north west of England. It is a federation of local natural history societies and national organisations which are active in the area.

Membership is also open to individual members who have interests in any branch of natural history.

Founded in 1929, the Union is administered by an executive committee, reporting annually to the general meeting at which the presidential address is given.
